Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in Ha noi is seeking for applicants for the following posts



1. Request for proposal from national consultant(s) on Review of Simplified Savings and Lending Systems and Insurance Schemes for the Regional Fishery Livelihood Programme (RFLP) in Thua Thien Hue and Quang Nam provinces, Vietnam.

The Country Office of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) in Hanoi, Vietnam, hereby invites you to submit a written proposal for the services listed in the link on FAO Vietnam website, which are required for the project “The Regional Fisheries Livelihoods Programme (RFLP)” (GCP/RAS/237). This project, supported by Spanish Government funding of US$ 19.54 million for 4 years in Cambodia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Timor-Leste and Viet Nam and an in-kind contribution from the Government of Vietnam, will be implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD), Research Institute for Aquaculture No.1 (RIA.1) in collaboration with the Provincial People Committees of Thua Thien Hue, Quang Tri and Quang Nam.

2. Driver for the Spanish-funded project GCP/RAS/237/SPA based in Hue City.

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO)  in Vietnam is recruiting a driver for the Spanish-funded project GCP/RAS/237/SPA based in Hue City with the following Terms of Reference.

Driving office vehicle for the transport of authorized personnel in the city and on field trips in other provinces;

Delivering and collecting of mails, documents, and other items from and to the post office, government agencies and other institutions;

Meeting official personnel at the airport and facilitating immigration and customs formalities as required;

Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle, including check oil, water, battery, brakes, tires, perform minor repairs and arranging for other repairs and ensure that the vehicle is kept clean;

Logging official trips, daily mileage, gas consumption, oil change and greasing;

Ensuring that the steps required by rules and regulations are taken in case of involvement in car accident;

Assisting staff in the project in performing simple clerical duties, such as filing, document binding, record keeping, answering telephones, and

Performing other related duties as required.

Duty station: Hue City, Vietnam with duty travel to project sites when required.

Duration: 01 year with possible extension.

Knowledge and skill:
 
High school education certificate, professional driving license  (B2), knowledge of driving rules and regulations and skills in minor repair. 

Qualifications:

Experience:Three years’ work experience as a driver, preferably good working references with UN agencies, ODA projects or NGOs.. 

Languages:Good knowledge of local language and basic knowledge of English.
