11/03/2009. Currently, 7 provinces are reporting AI cases in poultry within the last 21 days, namely: Khanh Hoa (20 days) Ca Mau (12 days), Soc Trang (11 days), Hau Giang (15 days), Quang Ninh (13 days), Bac Lieu, and Dien Bien.
Dien Bien: On 09/03/2009, AI cases in poultry has been detected in a new commune: Thanh Yen, Dien Bien district. Total infected and culled poultry were 238 ducks. To date, there are 3 communes: Noong Luong, Thanh Hung and Thanh Yen (of Dien Bien district) reporting AI cases in poultry.
